Elvis

Elivs was born in Herschey, Pennsylvania, on February 8, 1993. He lived almost 13 years, a long time for a Bulldog. During his lifetime, Elvis came to the office every day entertaining clients and staff alike. Elvis showed a great tenacity enduring many health problems, including a heart condition. At age 10, Elvis underwent a tracheostomy to correct a breathing problem which left him with a permanent "stoma", a breathing hole in his throat. At the same time, Elivs was also discovered to have congestive heart failure and was not expected to live. Dr. Rick Lefebvre and his staff, as well as doctors and students at LSU Veterinary School Small Animal Clinic, are responsible for extending Elvis's life beyond what was thought possible. Elvis adapted to his circumstances and continued to play and (attempt to) bark like any other dog living a great life, winning the admiration and affection of everyone around him. He was and continues to be our inspiration.
